Rough Cut Capacity Planning Tool
The RCCP tool developed is based on Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodology for achieving a product and sales channel mix for profit maximization for use in the monthly S&OP process. Following are its features:
Assigning priority to different sales channels/ SKUs for maximizing total gross margin and adding it as a scenario to be optimized
Optimizing the scenario using excel solver, by providing constraints (minimum and maximum demand) and objective function (maximizing gross margin)
Allocating critical resources to production using excel solver, by providing constraints (resource capacity available and resource requirement)
Following are the benefits of using our RCCP tool:
Assigning priority to different sales channels/ SKU as per the business requirement
Custom scenarios can be built based on different priorities
Compare the different scenarios created and analyze them
Optimization on the basis of total Gross Margin
Schedule production based on the identified bottleneck stage capacity
Reduction in developing manufacturing schedules in the S&O

Process Improvement
A company’s supply chain management system faces some typical problems with its distribution network and / or strategy, inventory management, information management, or organizational design. To achieve tighter control over the supply chain, some of the processes may also need to be altered. Aqua MCG looks at all the internal and external processes of an enterprise that may have a bearing on the supply chain, and recommend suitable changes to attain optimum efficiency.
Supply chain process performance bears a high correlation with that of the business as a large part of the firm’s processes fall under supply chain domain. Supply chain process improvements and re-engineering thus becomes a major source in extracting cost reduction, elimination of complexities and reduction of turnaround time. Issues which the firms face with respect to process improvements are:
Alignment of supply chain processes to achieve firm’s strategic goals and higher customer satisfaction
Identification of the non overlapping processes (triggers, inputs, outputs) either according to the flow of goods or information or finance and their linkages with the upstream and downstream process
Assigning ownership of the processes from amongst the various department in the firm
(Non) existence of performance indicators to measure the performance of each of the supply chain processes
Lack of integration of the various firm’s processes which are organized functionally that leads to planning and execution being done separately for each supply chain function
Lack of understanding of the overall supply chain process which leads to quick fixes affecting the upstream/ downstream processes
Identification and elimination of the non value adding steps/ roles through the lean methodology and tightening up of the execution of the processes through six sigma methodology
Assessing the impact of the proposed process

Program Management & Execution Leadership
Program Management & Execution Leadership
Thoroughly thought out SCM plans have failed to deliver due to lack of program management and efficient execution. Execution forms the key to delivering results and operational excellence has become the top priority for top management across industries. Operational excellence starts right from the point when strategic business decisions are made, a well designed plan may not be executable on the shop floor if important decision drivers are overlooked. For a sustainable execution of any operation, strategizing with an eye on ground level realities goes a long way in successful execution. Program management of any execution should ideally be a separate project in itself, with clear timelines and resource allocation. We at Aqua MCG understand that equal importance needs to be given to the execution stage for a successful project completion. Cost, service and quality are the major key performance indicators for any industry and they are the result of operations rather than anything else. Strategic decisions cannot work on their own if not operationalised efficiently. With better informed, ever demanding customers, companies can hardly overlook the operational issues which may lead to inferior service levels, increase in cost or loss of customer altogether. Globalization has opened the gate for low cost players in the market, which requires companies to squeeze out the inefficiencies prevailing on their execution part. Performance improvement opportunities are there for all to see but their execution remains a big challenge. Meeting the expectation of all the stakeholders involve in the execution process is always a tough ask, which is why setting achievable goals, taking each participant into confidence, assigning the owner of each of the sub process, and having a strong inclination of the top management go a long way in a seamless execution. Each execution brings along certain changes in the existing processes

Organization Design & Governance
Organizational designs differ from company to company. Certain designs encourage innovation and shorten development cycles while some aid quicker decision making. By synchronizing its supply chain with its organizational design, an enterprise can create a competitive tool to quickly respond to changing customer needs and demand cycles. That is precisely what our consultants can help you achieve.
In this global economy, supply chain organization needs to be optimally designed for better business performance and to add value to the overall customer experience. Effective organization design can be structured answering the following issues:
Decision relating to identifying the core competencies of the firm and thus completing those activities internally
When can an activity be outsourced and the associated risks with it?
Decentralization of any activity/ process for e.g. having centralized warehouse system or having distributed network and the resulting trade off which needs to be balanced between time, money and quality
Are all the functions needed to perform an activity/ process in place?
What are the various non value adding functions that can be done way with resulting in a lean organization hence better managed?
Linking of roles/ ownership associated with each function thereby assigning the responsibility and doing away with all the non value adding roles
Identification of the bottlenecks in proper flow of information, goods etc. from one function to another and their respective solutions
Identification of critical roles and responsibility required to maintain an efficient supply chain and equipping them with appropriate wherewithal to discharge their duties effectively
Strictly defining the reporting structure across the entire supply chain
Restructuring the supply chain with a view to buildin
